Malossi counterbalance spring yellow K9.7 (L=138 mm) – more grip for the V-belt on the Yamaha T-Max

This reinforced Malossi counterbalance spring (yellow) is designed for the rear torque converter and fits the Yamaha T-Max (among others T-Max 500 and T-Max 530, see vehicle list). Due to the higher contact pressure on the V-belt, the belt is less prone to slipping – traction is noticeably improved. This is particularly useful if your Yamaha T-Max 500 or Yamaha T-Max 530 is tuned or if you generally have problems with a slipping belt.

Installation is straightforward: The spring is simply replaced with the original part. Unfortunately, Malossi does not specify for maxi-scooters how much the pressure changes compared to the OEM counterbalance spring. Instead, spring rate (K) and length are provided – this allows you to at least compare the springs cleanly with each other.
