Malossi contrast spring white – more bite during acceleration for your Yamaha T-Max

This reinforced sport contrast spring from Malossi is developed for the torque driver and aims for noticeably improved response and acceleration behavior. Especially for the Yamaha T-Max 500 and Yamaha T-Max 530, the spring ensures that the power RPM is slightly increased – for a crispier pull. At the same time, the drive shifts smoother and the engine runs quieter.

You can run the Malossi contrast spring both with the original variator as well as in combination with a tuned variator (e.g. Malossi Multivar). Ideal if you want to cleanly tune your Yamaha T-Max 500 or Yamaha T-Max 530 without rebuilding the entire setup.

Tuning Notes (Maxi-Scooters)

Unfortunately, Malossi does not specify for maxi-scooters how much the pressure changes compared to the OEM contrast spring. Instead, spring rate (K) and length are provided – this allows you to at least compare the springs with each other. Basic rules for large scooters:

• Green contrast springs are softer than the OEM spring.
• All other springs are generally harder than the OEM spring.
• The higher the (K) value, the harder the spring.
• With the same (K) value, the longer spring is harder.
