Malossi MHR Contrast Spring (yellow) – more belt grip for 125/150ccm Maxi-Scooters

This reinforced Malossi MHR contrast spring is made for the rear torque converter of 125ccm and 150ccm Maxi-Scooters with GY6, Kymco, Honda, or Piaggio iGet engines. The spring increases the clamping force on the V-belt – as a result, the belt is significantly less prone to slipping and traction is improved. This is exactly why it is particularly useful if your setup is tuned or if you have already had problems with a slipping belt.

Installation is uncomplicated: you simply replace the spring with the original one.

Important to know: unfortunately, Malossi does not specify how much the pressure changes compared to the OEM contrast spring for Maxi-Scooters. Instead, spring rate (K) and length are provided – this allows the springs to at least be compared with each other. Basic rules for large scooters:

• Green contrast springs are softer than the OEM spring
• All other colors are harder than the OEM spring
• The higher the (K) value, the harder the spring
• With the same (K) value, the longer spring is harder
