The art of correctly tuning an engine lies in finding the right combination of counterpressure spring, variator weights and clutch springs. If your V-belt slips, a harder counterpressure spring must definitely be selected. But even a spring that is too hard can have a negative effect on the power yield. With the use of a harder counterpressure spring, the acceleration speed increases! In most cases, the choice of variomatic weights must be a bit more difficult.
