Description
The clutch in a scooter drive is the connection between the applied engine power and the rear wheel. The clutch rotates at the same speed as your torque converter. At a certain speed, the clutch shoes separate due to centrifugal force when the 3 small clutch springs can no longer hold them together. The pads engage in the clutch bell, which is connected to the rear wheel via the final drive.
Over time, the pads glaze or wear down, resulting in a long engagement phase (slipping) or even abrupt and jerky engagement.
The standard MXT clutch with a diameter of 110/112mm (3 shoes) is ideal for anyone who simply wants to repair rather than tune. Very good OEM quality, as a replacement for the defective original part.
Of course, this clutch, like an original one, can also be used with 50-70ccm sports cylinders and equipped with harder springs accordingly.
