Description

With many Piaggio scooters, the fuel tank sits quite deep in the footboard area. Since the newer vehicles no longer have a construction with petrol expansion tanks, the gasoline is transported directly from the fuel pump sitting on the tank to the carburetor (in most cases, of course, with return line).

If the scooter is switched off for a long time, the gasoline can run from the hose back to the pump/ into the tank. The next time you try to start, you have to “organ” a little longer until the engine starts. To prevent this, the non-return valve is inserted into the petrol inlet line. It passes the gasoline towards the carburetor, but it does not run back.

If the fuel hose has run empty after 1-2 days, the check valve should be replaced.
