Thanks to the latest AGM technology (glass -fleece technology), the IONI batteries are absolutely maintenance-free and offer the highest quality level in the small amp class. Due to constantly optimized processes in production, the IONI batteries are often saturated and impregnated several times (AGM, lead fleece), which means they have much more energy and keep what they promise! You can see the difference in the weight of the battery alone!

The abbreviation AGM stands for Absorbent Glass Mat, which translates into approximately lead fleece. In this process, a glass fiber fleece is saturated with sulfuric acid. Unlike conventional acid batteries, there is no longer any liquid in the battery, which could, for example, leak in an accident. This new design offers many advantages! Due to the low internal resistance of the AGM batteries, the self-discharge is pleasantly low, so that the batteries retain sufficient capacity for the next start-up even in the event of a long standstill. Especially two-wheelers, which are not moved over the cold season, are suitable for the use of the AGM batteries! An AGM battery is less sensitive to deep discharge . At cold temperatures, it provides a good capacity , which is not necessarily the case with normal lead-acid batteries . These characteristics also mean that AGM batteries have a longer service life.

If the battery nevertheless needs to be recharged, it is only possible to do this with a special battery charger for motorcycles, since the charging current must be very low when the batteries are closed.

Vehicle batteries must not be disposed of via household waste. They are legally obligated to return old batteries, so that proper disposal can be ensured. They can dispose of old batteries at a municipal collection point or in the trade on the spot. The following peculiarities apply to the sale of vehicle batteries: § 10 BattG obliges a final deposit of EUR 7.50 including VAT if the end user does not return a used vehicle battery to the seller at the time of the purchase of the new starter battery or a signed / canceled disposal certificate, (not older than two weeks ). {X} No deposit is issued! When the old starter battery is returned to Heavy - Tuned GmbH, which we have as a new battery in our product range, we are obligated under the law to reimburse it free of charge and reimburse the deposit amount. You can return your old battery at many recycling stations free of charge. Meaning of the battery symbols

Batteries are marked with the symbol of a crossed out wheelie bin. This symbol indicates that batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. In the case of batteries containing more than 0.0005% by weight of mercury, more than 0.002% by mass of cadmium or more than 0.004% by weight of lead, the chemical name of the particular pollutant used is "Cd" for cadmium, "Pb "Stands for lead, and" Hg "for mercury.
