The art of tuning a motor properly is to find the right combination of counter-pressure spring, variomatic weights and clutch springs. If your V-belt slips, a harder back-pressure spring must be chosen. But even a too hard spring can have a negative effect on the performance yield. The acceleration speed increases with the use of a harder counter-pressure spring! In most cases the choice of the variomatic weights has to be somewhat more difficult.
