Description

The Boyesen Power Reeds are an innovative solution for two-stroke engines that offer improved performance and efficiency. These membrane tongues are specially developed to withstand the heavy loads to which the reeds in two-stroke engines are exposed. At high speeds, the blades open and close hundreds of times per second, which can cause wear and tear. Over time, conventional leaflets lose their ability to optimally regulate the flow rate, resulting in a loss of performance.

The two-stage design of Boyesen Power Reeds provides wider suction control and increased suction speed. A soft cover on a fixed flow plate makes it possible to replace the standard leaf barrier with a Rev-Plate, which allows the blades to work more efficiently. The multi-port function of the bottom panel creates additional channels for charging, resulting in higher speed and more overall performance.

The Boyesen Power Reeds are designed to work in unison across the entire powerband. The difference in stiffness between the upper and lower pitch enables a quick and precise response to changes in engine pressure. This results in faster acceleration, crisper throttle response and more power across the entire performance range.
