The V-belt is the binding link between the variator and the rear converter unit. The higher the engine power, the higher the belt is required. Especially with open or even 70cc engines, which run at a higher speed level than standard 50s, the V-belt is also subject to higher wear. With Maxi-Skooter this is anyway the case. To prevent premature cracking of the belt, you should use a reinforced belt! This is the only way to reliably bring the engine power to the road.
The belts are aramid-reinforced and offer, in addition to the high load-bearing capacity, another advantage: the angle of the flanks is adapted to the tuning variators in order to be able to produce as clean a shifting behavior as possible without fluctuations in speed.
