The small components of the kickstarter mechanism are subject to high forces and therefore, unfortunately, also high wear!
As soon as individual teeth of the pinion start to wear, the pinion and pawl no longer mesh perfectly and quickly slip. The engine can then no longer be started using the kickstarter. If the battery is also weak, the scooter cannot be started. Therefore, it is always worthwhile keeping the kickstarter mechanism ready for use!
With the high-quality MXT repair kit, you receive all parts for revision.
The set consists of:
- Kickstarter pinion
- Retaining clip (spring)
- Kickstarter pawl
Fits Peugeot 2-stroke engines with 50ccm. Please check the dimension before purchase (see photo!) as Peugeot uses 3 different versions of the pinion! Here: Type 1.
