New BGM PRO Sport Rim for Vespa GTS Models

With a 13-inch diameter and approved tire sizes up to 140mm width, the rim offers an optical and technical upgrade for all Vespa GTS models. Despite the larger dimensions (standard 12 inches), the rim is a real lightweight at only 2900 grams.

RIDING CHARACTERISTICS
With 13 inches and a tire size of 130/60-13 on the front wheel and 140/60-13 on the rear wheel, the riding behavior is significantly more confident. The direct reaction to steering impulses provides agile handling with maximum stability in curves.

OPTICS & BRAKING PERFORMANCE
The light and open design provides a clear view of the braking system. Modified brake components are clearly showcased and the cooling of the braking system is optimized.

APPROVAL / ABE / TÜV
The rim has passed all strict test standards necessary for approval in Germany with flying colors and exceeded them. This makes the high-strength rim, according to BGM, an ideal basis for heavily tuned vehicles. Due to the KBA test mark, the rim is admission-free and does not have to be presented separately to a testing center.

ASSEMBLY
Unlike the rims used ex-works, the BGM PRO rims are identical for front and rear. They therefore have different depths for the mounting screw holes. For this reason, shorter screws (M8x35mm) are used on the front axle. On the rear wheel, the ABS tone ring is not screwed directly onto the rim, but (as with earlier GTS models ex-works) onto the special wheel bolts. We provide mounting kits for both rear and front, which contain all specific fasteners. These are only included in the complete rim set (front and rear). When purchasing individual rims, please order the mounting kits if needed (BGM7660MKTF and BGM7660MKTR, see Accessories).

The BGM PRO rims are manufactured to high precision and therefore do not require balancing. Balancing may be necessary depending on the tire after assembly. Our complete wheels are delivered balanced.

SC TIP: Tire manufacturers usually mark the lightest point of the tire with a color mark (red or yellow dot, yellow triangle, etc.). This mark should be positioned at the valve position during assembly. This reduces the necessary balancing weight to a minimum.
