De dwarsstang creëert een extra bevestigingspunt in het gebied van het windscherm om geschikte navi- of smartphonehouders aan het voertuig te bevestigen. Het dient hiermee voor de geordende positionering van mobiele apparaten in het zicht- en bedieningsbereik van de bestuurder.
