De dwarsstang creëert een extra bevestigingspunt in het gebied van het windscherm om geschikte navi- of smartphonehouders op het voertuig aan te brengen. Hiermee dient het voor de ordelijke positionering van mobiele apparaten in het zicht- en bedieningsbereik van de bestuurder.
